July 24, 2008

Italian news blog Musica Metal has posted video footage of GAMMA RAY performing the HELLOWEEN classic "Ride the Sky" on July 12, 2008 at the Evolution Festival in Milan, Italy. Watch the clip below.

GAMMA RAY's long-awaited three-disc DVD package, which previously had a working title of "Hell Yeah! The Awesome Foursome (And The Finnish Keyboarder Who Didn't Want To Wear His Donald Duck Costume) Live in Montreal", is scheduled for release in September. The set will feature a multi-camera recording of the band's May 6, 2006 show at Medley in Montreal, Quebec, several "road movies," promotional clips, and footage from the group's January 2008 concert in Barcelona, Spain.

GAMMA RAY's latest album, "Land of the Free II", entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 54. The CD also landed on the Swedish chart at No. 57 and Norwegian chart at No. 98.

"Land of the Free II" is a conceptual continuation of the group's 1995 classic "Land of the Free", and contains around 65 minutes of music.
